See All ReviewsTypical American Mexican restaurant. Same food at all of them. They are all good. Nothing stands out above the others.
First time trying this place. The restaurant is clean and nice however, I waited about 10 minutes before greeted. I ordered 2 chicken burritos and chicken fajitas. The food was not well seasoned.
We've been loyal customers since we moved to the area in 1999, and Cinco has always been our go-to Mexican restaurant - great, fresh food, lightening-fast service, and overall excellence. This was our first visit in several years (life....) and I was disappointed for the first time ever. It took a good 10 minutes to get menus, chips, & salsa to the table, and a further 10 minutes for drinks to arrive. After placing our food order, we waited approximately 20 minutes till it was delivered. I ordered my usual favorite of carnitas tacos - instead of the smooth, unctuous flavor of the braised, tender pork, it was overpowered by cumin and tougher than I expected. The others at the table were also a bit underwhelmed by their choices. The place itself has incorporated some beautiful updates - tables, chairs, menus, decor, etc. But it wasn't the warm establishment I fell in love with 20+ years ago. It's possible they were having an off night right after Christmas, everyone does at one time or another. I'll definitely give them another try in a few weeks and post an update.
